A consultancy that transformed itself first
Luminarium exists because the standard consulting model handles AI badly. Big firms send large teams to produce recommendations that too often stay on the shelf. We use AI systems we build ourselves to scale deep senior expertise through to execution.
Our own tools, used on real engagements every week
Discovery Dialogues
An AI interviewer that holds structured voice conversations at scale, scoring every one against the same capability model so a whole workforce can be measured, and measured again months later.
Agentic analysis
AI agents that read whole codebases, ticket histories and document sets, and work from the full picture. We fact-check what the agents produce against source before it reaches you.
AI-augmented delivery
Our build teams pair agentic coding with AI review and tight feedback loops, and the method is the same one we propose to clients, run on our own work first.
We build these tools for our own experts to use. Tools made for general sale get sanded down until they are safe everywhere and sharp nowhere; ours assume a skilled operator in the room.
Client material is handled under the processor terms in our contracts. We work with enterprise and API versions of AI services on terms that keep your data out of model training, and access is limited to the people delivering the engagement. You own the deliverables we build for you; our own tooling and methods stay ours, and nothing you need to run your system depends on us after we leave.
Led by practitioners
Paul Scott, founder
Paul has led complex transformations for more than 20 years, mostly in media and subscription businesses: first in consulting at PwC and IBM, then independently for clients including The Economist, Informa and BSkyB. At The Economist Group he was technology lead for the programme that moved more than a million subscribers from mainframe systems to a modern SaaS stack, on time and on budget, and he built the 2024 AI lead-enrichment system described in the case studies. At Luminarium he designs and builds much of the tooling, Discovery Dialogues included, and is personally involved in every engagement.
Tim Corrick, Business Change Principal
Tim has spent his career leading organisations through difficult change. On our engagements he runs the change workstream: readiness assessments, coaching for leaders and engineering managers, and change plans built to survive contact with the organisation. What excites him about AI is what it does for change work itself: for the first time you can hear from every person a change touches, and keep listening as it lands.
The network
Around the core sits a network of senior specialists in business change, product leadership and engineering, most of whom have worked together across several engagements. Teams are assembled per engagement from people who have solved the specific problem before, and everyone works with the same tooling and methods. If you are a senior practitioner who wants to work this way, write to [email protected] and say so; it reaches the same people clients reach.
Who we work with
Mostly private equity-owned and mid-market organisations taking on transformations that matter to the business, where we work directly with the CTO, COO or CEO. We deliver most value where decisions are made quickly and execution is what counts.
